Ma's Own Whippin' Boy

On May 4, 1978, AC/DC released Powerage, the final studio album before Highway To Hell would finally become a presence on the American charts. The timing couldn't have been better as other hard rock bands were wither losing their way ( Kiss solo albums) or losing momentum due to drug abuse ( Aerosmith). Meanwhile the Young brothers were never short of heavy riffs and Bon Scott could make any lyric sound dangerous.

The album peaked at US#133 on the Billboard 200. The next studio album would best that 116 spots.
