Annie Lennox's All Time Top Ten

The Tourists : I Only Want To Be With You

The Tourists' cover of Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want To Be With You" was a U.K. Top 4 hit when Annie Lennox provided Smash Hits with her all time Top 10 Hits, a list heavy on classic hits from the 1960's. Watch below and you'll see how strong and confident a performer she is. The band would break up in 1980 but she and Dave Stewart would soon find success as The Eurythmics.

Though he recorded "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" months before Gladys Knight and the Pips, Marvin Gaye had to wait until the Pips version ended its chart run ( at US#2 and R+B#1) before his version came out, topping the R+B and pop charts in both the U.S. and U.K.

"Fame" was Bowie's first #1 hit in the U.S. Here he is performing the song he described as "nasty and angry" on the Cher Show in 1975.

Dusty Springfield scored a U.K.#3 hit in 1964 with " I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself".
