St. Winifred's School Choir : There's No One Quite Like Grandma
Those of us in the United States are likely unaware of the traditional race to the top of the charts Christmas week in the UK. In 1980, it was a group of school children who knocked the late John Lennon from the top with a saccharine song dedicated to grandmothers. And they seemed too young to be committing the perfect crime ! I guess the record was the perfect Christmas present for those family members who already had plenty of tea cozies and scarves. If we subtract every sentimental bone from our body, could be this be the worst song to ever top the UK charts?
