Pilot : Just A Smile
In the first weeks of October 1975, fresh off their Top 5 hit "Magic", the Scottish rock band Pilot saw their reissued 1974 single, "Just a Smile", re-enter the Hot 100 Charts at #96. A year earlier it stalled at #90. Would it now race up the charts on its second go-round? Actually, no. "Just A Smile" would vanish a week later. Possibly because the song is such a catchy ear worm, DJ's knew of they played it more than once, they would be forced to play it once a day for months to come.
